- Monitor the workplace to ensure activities are being performed with acceptable safety norms. Ensuring health and safety of workers at site.
- Identifying the hazardous and unsafe condition and ensuring their rectification.
- Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations i.e. Physical hazards, chemical hazards, radiation hazards, electrical hazards and taking corrective actions to rectify them.
- Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe.
- Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site, taking corrective action. Finding the best way to prevent future accidents.
- Monitoring vehicle movement inside the factory. Providing training to drivers.
- Providing training to new employees (Induction training) and visitors on safety to be followed inside the factory.
- Arranging PPEs and making sure all employee using the required PPEs.
- Providing safetytrainings to employees as per training calendar prepared at start of each quarter.
- Verifying work permit based on observation at site. Ensuring work permit is being followed strictly.
- Conducting safety committee meeting and preparing the MOM.
- Ensuring fireprotection equipment are in order, routine checkup for their efficacy. Liaise with firefighting contractor to make sure routine inspection is done on time and any observation is corrected timely.
- Conducting Evacuation mock drill on emergency preparedness. Fire Emergency & Medical Emergency etc.
- Preparing & maintaining the documentation related to HSE such as corrective and preventive action of internal/external audit, training records, Evacuation mock drill records, risk assessment, incident reporting & corrective action, etc.
- Summarizing daily HSE observation and sharing it with all concerned for corrective action.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in safety or any related field.
- Familiar with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
- Nebosh IGC, OSHA Certification, Certification of Fire Fighting would be preferred.
