• Proficiency in baking techniques and kitchen equipment.


• Strong understanding of ingredient properties and interactions.


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.


• Creativity and attention to detail in decoration and presentation.


• Knowledge of sanitation principles and food handling safety.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills:


• Certification from a culinary school or completion of a baking apprenticeship.


• Experience with specialty diets (gluten-free, vegan, etc.).


• Knowledge of advanced decorating techniques.

-Proofing and Fermentation: Knowing how to proof dough and the role of fermentation in bread making.

-Baking Techniques: Familiarity with different baking methods, oven settings, and the impact of temperature on various baked goods.

-Piping and Shaping: Skills in shaping dough and piping batter for cookies, pastries, and decorations.

-Ingredient Knowledge: Understanding the properties of key ingredients (flour, yeast, sugar, butter, eggs) and how they interact.

-Time Management: Efficiently managing baking schedules and timelines for multiple recipes.

-Decoration and Presentation: Basic skills in decorating cakes, pastries, and other baked goods for visual appeal.

-Sanitation and Safety: Adhering to hygiene standards and safe food handling practices in the kitchen.

-Problem Solving: Identifying and correcting common baking issues (e.g., dough not rising, cakes sinking).
