Position:
Senior Project Control and Planning Engineer

Job Description:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules using appropriate software tools.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate project status, milestones, and performance metrics to management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze project data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to integrate project schedules with resource allocation and procurement plans.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the project control and planning team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project review meetings and contribute valuable insights to enhance project execution and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the project control and planning department.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project management and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in project control, planning, and scheduling within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in project planning and execution.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members towards achieving project goals.
  • PMP or PMI-SP certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in project control and planning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Legal authorization to work in the relevant jurisdiction.
