Purpose

You will provide instrumentation & controls engineering services on large or mega projects to Worley's and its customers', including technical support and supervision within the instrumentation & controls engineering team.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage instrumentation & controls engineering services that meet Worley's, its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  2. Manage instrumentation & controls engineering project requirements.
  3. Manage instrumentation & controls engineering services such as:
    1. Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and comply with required checking procedures.
    2. Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
    3. Provide advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and purchase order preparation.
  4. Act as the instrumentation & controls engineering Lead on specific projects.
  5. If responsible for a team:
    1. Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress.
    2. Ensure the required services meet Worley, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
  6. Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.
  7. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in instrumentation & controls engineering.
  8. If required, assist and support junior personnel within the instrumentation & controls engineering team.
  9. Communicate effectively with the instrumentation & controls engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  10. Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
Required Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

A recognized and relevant engineering degree. Knowledge and working experience on PMC Projects. Participated in HAZOP, PHA, HIPS, SIS, SIL, Value engineering, Constructability, Model Review, Lesson learned workshops. Knowledge and experience working with instrumentation & control systems such as process instrumentation, RTU, SCADA, Fire & Gas, Hydraulic ESD Systems, & Valves. Hands-on experience in design calculations and system studies. Experience in Procurement support is required for RFQ, TBE and Vendor Document Reviews. Involved in construction support in technical queries, field verifications, and handling LSTK/LTA Contractors. Advanced knowledge of International and Saudi Aramco Standards. Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering; management, project management, or supervisory qualifications or equivalent. Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients. Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the instrumentation & controls engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields. Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications. Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and instrumentation & controls engineering specific software. Extensive technical and practical experience in instrumentation & controls engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
