Parsons is now hiring Commercial Manager for our rapidly expanding team.

Parsons extensive experience combined with your finance management skills, including reviewing contracts, and identifying potential conflicts. At this level you will provide technical guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.

In this role, you will manage all contract activity for a Division, a major market segment, or for a major project.

Travel to the client's offices or to the project site may be required, either before the contract receives final approval or during the life of the contract.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance on all commercial issues within the projects and ensure that commercial staff attains their maximum potential.
  • Interact with client and address all inquiries related to commercial and contract maximize the profitability of projects.
  • Payment of subcontractors.
  • Internal cost comparisons and cost projections
  • Analysis of cost overrun and other implications.
  • Negotiation of subcontracts.
  • Preparation of subcontractor precontract work packages.
  • Negotiate final accounts with subcontractors.
  • Responsibility for all financial contractual issues arising during the course of his contract.
  • Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and sufficient documentation to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field and 20 years demonstrable experience in a commercial on major building projects in GCC.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.
  • Knowledge of partnering contracts.
  • Knowledge of traditional and design and build contracts.
  • Work experience on major Building projects.
  • Good team player and communicator.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts
Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration. Ability to perform in a management capacity is also required
