Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform FEED, Studies, and detailed design engineering, analysis and calculations on more complex and demanding engineering tasks.
  • Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures.
  • Gain familiarity with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all interdiscipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable.
  • Initiates interface with other disciplines to obtain input for discipline designs.
  • Performs computer analyses of structures designed by others with guidance from Senior/PPL engineers.
  • Prepares design calculations as required.
  • Performs engineering check of drafting.
  • Performs engineering checks prepared by others within discipline.
  • Performs design verification through single discipline check and assists with interdiscipline checks (IDC).
  • Prepares & reviews MTO's of structures under supervision.
  • Assists in preparation of subcontract documents.
  • Assist in bid evaluations.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • BS degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
  • Familiar with design codes such as API and AISC
  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, and ANSYS
  • Strong communication skill and professional ethics to interface with clients and project team
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering / offshore projects
