We are looking for a seasoned Senior Fire Alarm FM Engineer to oversee the critical fire alarm systems within our metro station facilities. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of fire alarm technologies, robust project management skills, and a keen awareness of regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of ensuring fire safety systems are optimized for rapid response and meet all local and national safety standards, including rigorous adherence to Civil Defense inspections and regulations set forth by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, maintenance, and ongoing management of fire alarm systems across various metro station facilities, ensuring peak operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate closely with the local Civil Defense department to schedule and pass all necessary inspections, ensuring systems are up to code and meet all safety standards.
  • Engage with Heads of Engineering (HoE) and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure all fire alarm designs, installations, and maintenance practices comply with the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fire alarm system training programs for staff, ensuring everyone is prepared for emergency situations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits regularly to identify potential improvements or upgrades necessary to maintain optimal safety and compliance.
  • Manage a team of fire alarm technicians, providing technical guidance and support to ensure high standards of work and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or a related field, with specialized training in fire alarm systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, emergency response planning, and compliance management within a public transportation or similar critical infrastructure setting.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Civil Defense authorities and understanding of AHJ requirements for fire safety and alarm systems.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and emergency response personnel.
