Role/ Department:
This role sits in Northern Trust's Saudi office and reports in to Head of Operations and is responsible for overall Saudi FA unit including but not limited to smooth functioning of the FA operations & internal and external client interaction/satisfaction


You will be responsible for managing the Saudi Fund Accounting unit providing NAV oversight and supervise the preparation of reports and activities in accordance with NT Policies and Procedures.


The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead and manage the Saudi FA team ensuring that all daily, monthly, quarterly NAVs and reporting timelines are met in accordance with the SLA.
  • Provide support and guidance to FA team members on their tasks and assume responsibility of such as needed
  • Oversee and analyse NAV calculation performed by delegated service provider for accuracy
  • Assist in audit coordination, audit query resolution and provide feedback on financial statements
  • Own the client relationships from FA perspective and be an escalation point to all clients' issues and concerns
  • Research and resolve any identified operational issues and notify management accordingly
  • Provide timely feedback and support to internal and external queries or requests
  • Ensure the team's deliverable deadlines are appropriately resourced, monitored and achieved
  • Support the onboarding of new portfolios or clients locally
  • Conduct regular client service review calls and be an SME from Fund Accounting/Financial Reporting perspective
  • Ensure compliance with relevant fund regulation
  • Ensure providing management information to management on a periodic and ad hoc basis.
  • Support product development initiatives and provide feedback to ensure smooth processes. Ensure strict control of the assigned duties, liaising with internal departments and escalating to management to maintain a strong control process.
  • Support all system implementations related to the department and recommend areas of improvement if applicable.
  • Oversee the reconciliations and take all necessary actions to resolve in coordination with client, RM and other relevant partners
  • Oversee regulatory reporting (OCF, TER etc)
  • Carryout appropriate checks on the work of the team members, and resolve problems if any.
  • Ensure training is extended to all team members visa structured career development plans and provide onjob training, mentoring and support.
  • Ensure proper coverage of the team is available at all times and vacation planning is done in advance and according to NT policy.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance performance and support Accounting Manager in evaluation process
