The Director of Security will be responsible for defining and delivering the objectives of the projects security strategy.

Additionally, they will be responsible for leading the program regarding security at a strategic level to achieve the clients objectives and maintain the values of the program.

They will assess and define the security strategy and management plan in collaboration with the Client and the project teams


They will manage and motivate the security teams, whilst identifying risks and opportunities to continually develop our people, project performance and succession plans at program level.

They will manage and motivate the security teams by listening and understanding to the challenges each party faces and establishing support and alternative solutions to overcome potential issues.

The role reports to the Head of Projects.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a scalable and flexible Security Strategy to meet the demands of the program in line with the requirements of the client.
  • Owner of security standards, strategies, policies, plans, processes, procedures, and best practice for the Program.
  • Identify and manage team resources in order to fulfil the security program requirements.
  • Manage the organization's cybersecurity program, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness training.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of emerging security threats and trends and adjust security strategies accordingly.
  • Manage and oversee investigations of security incidents and breaches, including reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Solve issues as they arise and recommend courses of action where conflict is realized.
  • Supervise and collaborate with consultants and delivery partners to provide the necessary input to support the security program.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the client's team to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, regulations and corporate policies applicable to security.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


At least 10 years of experience in a security leadership role, with a proven track record of implementing and managing successful security programs.

Degree qualification preferable but not essential. Relevant professional certifications.

In-depth knowledge of physical security, cybersecurity, and personnel security. Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to security. Can demonstrate effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity. Ability to interface between departments and strong knowledge and understanding of Major Programs.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:


Proven ability to manage a large group of senior technical personnel, the ability to drive excellence in field of expertise, focusing on safety, quality and improvement of processes, mentoring, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

Must also demonstrate the ability to effectively execute and manage complex tasks. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific software. Must be capable of conducting focused briefings to all levels of management. This includes effective problem solving and exercising excellent judgment regarding timing and senior management involvement in significant issues. Ability to network across departments and key external stakeholders.
