Role Summary:


As Managing Director, Solutions, you will be responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational direction to the company's Solutions business and will drives efficiency in all areas of operations through hands-on leadership in accordance with the Company service level agreements, guidelines, and associated polices.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the company's strategic plan in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the company and provide guidance to the management team.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential areas for growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Client, serving as strategic advisor and trusted counsel.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of Solutions services and all aspects of warehousing operations, including inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space, equipment, and resources.
  • Implement and monitor operational processes and procedures to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Financial Performance:
  • Develop and manage the company's annual budget, forecasting revenue, and expenses.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and implement measures to improve profitability.
  • Prepare financial reports and present them to the board of directors and shareholders.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment and culture.
  • Encourage staff advancement through development dialogues, knowledge sharing / action plans and, provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Set performance expectations and evaluate the effectiveness of the management team.
  • Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, legal, and financial risks.
  • Implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and are compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the business.
  • Ensure that solutions operations and associated documentation are fully compliant with the company Health, Safety, Security and Quality (HSSQ) and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
  • 15 years of Warehousing/Supply chain operations experience, 10 of which is at a country Management level.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, higher studies would be an added advantage.
