JOB OBJECTIVE

Overview:


Thales DIS - Gemalto, World leader in Digital Security, has strong presence in Middle East providing hardware, software and consulting services to government sector.


The role here includes supporting KSA ongoing projects of e-ID and e-Passport but also Oman program, Qatar DigID, and other projects in the region.

So, it is a
transversal role with strong requirement for travel, when needed.

Within this context, we are looking for a
senior
_validation engineer_ able to fulfill the following objectives:

  • Responsible for the validation, integration and deployment of solutions developed in ME Delivery Center
  • Writing and performing manual and automated tests
  • Recording and tracking defects and verifying fixed defects,
  • Performing regression and nonfunctional testing
  • Performing acceptances (internal and with customers)
  • Respect the short and challenging deadlines
  • Responsible for adhering to the development process and security guidelines for each single delivery
  • Responsible for producing all the documentation related to quality guidelines (Validation Strategy, Validation/Acceptance Test Plan, Delivery Form) and validating documents from the developers
  • Integration and support for maintenance team for the deployment and stability of the delivery

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience and excellent knowledge in validation and integration methodologies and tools
  • Good understanding of web technologies (Application servers like JBoss/Websphere, web servers like Tomcat/Apache) and validation of projects using these technologies
  • Experience in database skills (SQL, JDBC) using any RDBS (preferably Oracle)
  • IT capabilities & knowledge (Windows platform/Unix platforms like AIX )
  • Willingness to travel to other countries as per the project needs

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree in Computer sciences
  • Arabic speaker with fluent English skills.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in software validation
  • Proven experience in complex software projects

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge of Java and C# as programming language
  • Familiarity with smart card technology and cryptography concepts
  • Experience in any scripting languages and test automation
  • Experience using any version control system and issue tracking
