Contracts Advisor, Project Management

Location:
Dhahran

Join our dynamic Project Management Team (PMT) and contribute to successfully delivering capital projects.

As a contract advisor, I play a vital role in ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget, maintaining high integrity and compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate independently on all contractrelated tasks.
  • Objectively resolve contractual issues, particularly disputed change orders.
  • Develop and review contracts for diverse projects.
  • Administer contracts, ensuring terms and conditions implementation.
  • Develop contracting strategies and plans for various projects.
  • Conduct market analysis for suitable contract types.
  • Implement procurement manuals and monitor compliance.
  • Develop and review change order packages, ensuring guideline compliance.
  • Create negotiation strategies for change orders, actively participating in meetings.
  • Oversee supplier performance evaluations by project teams.
  • Conduct counseling sessions with lowperforming contractors, documenting actions.
  • Provide contracting consultations to resolve issues and disputes for project teams.
  • Offer feedback on contract terms to prevent disputes or breaches.
  • Develop and review contract amendments, initiate closeout actions upon project completion.
  • Prepare and review contracting reports for management.
  • Review various agreements/MOUs with external parties and potential joint ventures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Law/Contracts Management; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15 years of specialised contracting experience in various fields, specifically in the refining industry.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of contract administration principles and best practices.
  • Dynamic attitude towards process improvements.
  • Flexibility to work in multinational teams and mobilise to different locations, including remote areas.

Salary:
