Manags all activities and staff related to the IT Control Section, ensuring that data center, servers and storage related events and problems are either resolved or escalated by the IT Control staff based on the nature of the problem.

Reduces the number of service interruptions to KSFH&RC (Gen. Org.) by identifying and resolving issues with the data center before they are noticed and logged by users. Responsible for addressing employee engagement and retention in the section and for developing people in HITA.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitors performance metrics of IT Systems and provide timely reports on IT Production Systems & Services to management.
  • Reviews new or revised IT systems and services with other HITA Departments before they are moved to Production.
  • Oversees, manages, distributes workloads and ensure completion of workloads of IT Control staff.
  • Develops and implements procedurals and security safeguards for computer operations.
  • Prepares daily production schedules, establish priorities, and determine operating procedures.
  • Develops technical service level standards for IT Services and Systems including monitoring and reporting activity levels.
  • Recognizes and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
  • Address employee engagement and retention in the section and develop people in HITA.
  • Manages and develop the performance of IT Control staff through performance management, counselling, motivating, training and development and orientation of new employees.
  • Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.
  • Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
  • Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

PhD, Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.

Experience Required:


Four (4) years of related experience including three (3) years in a supervisory position with PhD, seven (7) years of similar qualifications with Master's Degree, or nine (9) years of similar qualifications with Bachelor's Degree is required.
