Position title

  • Red Hat OpenShift Engineer
  • Responsibilities
  • System administration on OpenShiftRedHat
  • Installation, upgradation, and configuration setup of Red Hat Openshift
  • Troubleshoot issues with worker nodes, maintenance, and scaleout tasks.
  • Performing Maintenance activities on cluster line performing patching, configuration changes, installing operators, etc.
  • LDAP sync configuration, adding and removing users, and assigning roles to group users.
  • Create, Modify & delete projects. Assign projectspecific roles to user groups.
  • Assist in implementing best practices to configure readiness and liveness probes.
  • Create, Modify, and delete network policy rules based on customer requirements.
  • Service accounts management, role creation, and assigning roles.
  • Assign, modify, and remove roles (cluster and project) to users and groups.
  • Create, Modify SCC based on customer requirements and assign it to specific projects.
  • Perform certificate management when the existing certificates are expired and when needed.
  • Check cluster utilization and share reports with the business when needed. Forecast capacity growth requirements and handle capacity increase.
  • Perform Daily health checks of cluster and fix issues based on observations.
  • Implement and customize Grafana dashboards if required to effectively monitor the cluster
  • Backup of critical configuration and DB when needed or before any maintenance activities.
  • Planning and platform patching and upgrade with Zero downtime.
  • Customize master and node configurations postdeployment of OpenShift to meet requirements.
  • Implement ADLDAP sync for each environment and also implement automated sync of the groups.
  • Monitoring the performance of the System
  • Troubleshoot the issue and quick resolution
  • Should be able to handle firstpoint escalation for all technical and process issues
  • Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders
  • Perform RCA for Major Incidents
  • Perform Trend analysis, identify the top few incidents, and work with respective teams individually to minimize the incidents
  • Participate in business meetings with various stakeholders on a need basis
  • Analyze upstream development against current customerreported defects and develop patches to resolve issues
  • Use tools like cURL, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, trace, and Wireshark to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Work closely with Red Hat's development engineering team and assist production support engineers and technical account managers
  • Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions
  • Manage your workload to ensure that all customer issues are handled and resolved on time
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive and reusable selfservice solutions for future incidents
  • Effort estimation reviews on a need basis for new projects.
  • Training of new team members. Able to work on Knowledge acquisition and updates to related documents
  • Prepare Weekly and monthly status reports.
