Role Purpose:
Responsible for identifying, preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents within an organization.

Understand the security monitoring, analysis, and reporting functions of the SOC to ensure the protection of the organization's information, assets, and reputation.

Additionally, stay up to date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and implementing effective measures to mitigate them.

Handle Security Offences that it could case real incidents, as well as dealing with the escalations received by the MSS.


Key Accountabilities:
1- Handling Alerts;

  • SIEM Alerts need to be close withing organization SLA by preforming analysis on the logs
  • SAMA Alerts need to preform the required action (Mitigation, set defense layer, preforming security scan check)
  • Handling alerts triggered by malware detection
2- Develop the Controls to meet the detection expectation;

  • You will need to feed the admin on regard of the logic of the usecase is detecting as expected or it need to be finetune
  • Enhancing the system feature to detect miss behavior/malwares/suspicious activities, etc.
  • Having understanding of network and how controls being implemented.
3- Incident handling support;

  • Use case/rule tuning recommendations
  • Testing and maintenance of response procedure
  • Participate in lessons learned workshops
  • Use SIEM technology to investigate alert that being detected
  • Monitor, triage, communication with other teams.
  • Familiar with EDR solutions
5- Perform security technical techniques;

  • Perform analysis method of attack or threat
  • Perform analysis of actor or object of the attack threat
  • Perform analysis of known targets and purpose of the attach threat
  • Understand of MITRE Attack.
