JOB PURPOSE


BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.

We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carrying out surface finish restoration maintenance activities;
  • Carrying out other shop duties as directed;
  • Raising TPRFs against approved data;
  • Assist with raising TQs for any aircraft component related anomalies;
  • Support the work centre Supervisor in ensuring shift handovers are accurate;
  • Adhering to tool control procedures;
  • Adhering to the use of only approved data;
  • Carrying out good husbandry practices;
  • Maintain accurate log books for the assigned RSAF technician.
  • Liaise with RSAF and PC management in order to identify any training opportunities or to highlight any potential training shortfalls.
  • Support the production of weekly & monthly progress reports to identify training progression.
  • Assist the training coordinator by providing additional training and supervision to RSAF and PC personnel as required.
  • Providing standby cover as directed in support of Sqn operations
  • Deputise for the work centre trade supervisor during periods of leave or absence.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • Qualified to National civilian / military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship
  • Corrosion Control/Paint

OR

  • HNC Level in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Qualification practical aircraft maintenance experience OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP).
  • Have equipment specific training and relevant type training if required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.

Desirable:

  • Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
