Quality Civil Inspector
Project Description:
Bechtel is currently bidding for The New Murabba Project Infrastructure" which will be built around the concept of sustainability, featuring green areas and walking and cycling paths that will enhance the quality of life by promoting healthy, active lifestyles and community activities.
It will also feature an iconic museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose immersive theater, and more than 80 entertainment and culture venues.
The project will be situated at the intersection of King Salman and King Khalid roads to the North West of Riyadh, over an area of 19 square kilometers, to accommodate hundreds of thousands of residents.
The project will offer more than 25 million sqm of floor area, featuring more than 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, and more than 980,000 sqm of retail space, as well as 1.4 million sqm of office space, 620,000 sqm of leisure assets, and 1.8 million sqm of space dedicated to community facilities.
The New Murabba project will offer a unique living, working and entertainment experience within a 15-minute walking radius and will have its own internal transport system.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Quality Civil Inspector is responsible for construction quality control program activities, such as development and implementation of inspection plans, within assigned discipline.
Within assigned area, monitors the performance and overall progress of construction inspections to ensure adherence to the field quality control program.
Maintains quality control records in support of activities in the assigned area of responsibility. Implements established project procedures and policies for the performance of assigned functions. Develops discipline specific procedures, as required. Monitors activities of assigned subcontractors to ensure construction, material and installation comply with project specifications and quality control criteria. Perform redline mark-ups to support development of as-built documentationEssential Job Duties:
- Has the responsibility for construction oversight and compliance of contractors, ensuring works are carried out as per the drawings, specifications and standards, as per schedule and ensures compliance to ES&H plans, quality standards and local/national regulatory safety codes
- Oversee performance of the installation contractors, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems
- Leads input to ensure continuous construction work fronts availability through review of look ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules and any other service requirements including contractor submittals
- Ensures required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the specific work at site. Verifies compliance with Permit and License requirements and stipulations
- Responsible for a multifunctional team who will be reviewing and approving the contractor's submittals, schedule acceptance, technical queries, Field change documents and other submittal documents including Drawings and As-Builts
- Ensure all materials and equipment on the site fully comply with international standard and technical specification requirements.
- Maintains an effective relationship with client, stakeholders and other functional departments and coordinates all jobsite contractual activities.
