Supervises and manages food service areas within KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.), ensuring that food is prepared and served to patients, employees, and KFSH&RC Officials in accordance with policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality standards. Maintains a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates daily activities in the Kitchen, Diet Office, and food delivery to Nursing Units, and other food service areas within KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.).
  • Ensures availability of all daily menu varieties.
  • Inspects daily assigned food preparation area, serving areas, equipment, and storage facilities to maintain sanitation and infection control standards.
  • Performs quality assurance tasks, completes necessary documentation, and conducts audits for performance improvement.
  • Addresses complaints from patients and employees, documents them accurately, and takes corrective actions.
  • Develops monthly schedules and daily work plans for employees and patient area service staff, making adjustments when required.
  • Monitors patient tray distribution and collection processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Suggests procedural improvements for better food service operations.
  • Manages cash handling according to established procedures and conducts regular checks for accuracy.
  • Initiates equipment repair work orders following organizational procedures and ensures timely follow-up.
  • Controls material usage to manage resources effectively, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of supplies.
  • Compiles various reports related to food service activities, such as meal counts, inspection findings, surveys, and test trays feedback.
  • Stays updated on information relevant to Food Services sector.

Education:

Bachelor's or Associate Degree/Diploma in Food/Nutrition, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field is a must.

Required Experience:


Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or three (3) years with an Associate Degree/Diploma in a high-volume institutional environment.
