Al Borg Diagnostics, a leading provider of diagnostic health services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team.

As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daytoday accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the monthend and yearend closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department managers to develop accurate and realistic financial plans.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing financial controls and processes.
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance within the organization.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support business initiatives and drive operational efficiency.
  • Perform other accounting and finance related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
