Job Summary:


The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maximizing profitability, and maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.


Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve performance targets.
  • Train, supervise, and schedule staff, including hiring and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Set performance standards, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback to ensure staff productivity and job satisfaction.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daytoday operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing levels, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Manage restaurant budgets, control costs, and optimize profitability through efficient resource utilization and revenue generation.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a customercentric focus by addressing customer complaints and feedback promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor service quality and take corrective action to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Menu Development and Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to develop innovative menu offerings and ensure consistent food quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas and dining areas to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Marketing and Promotions:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Plan and execute promotional events, special offers, and loyalty programs to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, sales forecasts, and budget variance analyses.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement, and implement appropriate strategies to achieve financial goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Operations Manager or similar role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound knowledge of restaurant management best practices, including food safety standards, inventory management, and financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field will be a plus.
