Position Overview
Siemens Energy is a global leader in the field of Engineering.

We have numerous projects around the region in fields including Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Rotating Equipment and Value Added Electrical & Automation Solutions.

Having proven experience in Saudi Aramco different onshore and offshore sites including NAGP area and Ghawar fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development, modification and troubleshooting of Siemens control system.
  • PCS7, WinCC and STEP 7 programming of control systems
  • Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation
  • Installation and configuration/testing work at customer sites
  • Support and drive assigned Technical Sales, Bids and Service Business Development activities in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical & Energy Sector for the products and solutions of the company

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering
  • Minimum years of experience in Siemens PLC, ESD and SCADA design programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Hands on experience in PCS7, ESD and Fire alarm Systems, including system virtualization and domain server configurations
  • Good working knowledge of Siemens fail safe system including Safety Matrix, H-System CPUs, and logic Matrix
  • Technical experience on Terminal Management system (TMS) implemented in Saudi Aramco bulk plants
  • Hands on experience on Modbus (TCP/IP and Serial), DNP3 and OPC interface.
  • Good knowledge of PCS 7 telecontrol including DBA configuration and onsite troubleshooting
  • Siemens Control Servers configuration including Server client architecture, Cyber security implementation and system hardening
  • Handson experience on Switch Hardening including port configuration, V-LAN setting and user authorization
  • Strong technical knowledge on ICSS, SCADA, MV/LV Distribution Equipment, PLCs and Field Testing. MV Motors & Drives experience would be plus to have

Your Responsibilities

  • Proven Track Record related to harvesting Install Base business for developing and driving solutions such as Modernization, Retrofitting, Long Term Service Agreements, Digital Services, Spare Parts Business and Trainings
  • Annual preventive maintenance process and technical report writing
  • Familiar with Saudi Aramco annual cyber security Audit requirements and customer expectations
  • Good client facing skills, must be able to work as part of combined client/contractor team.
  • In depth knowledge of Petrochemical processes, and Oil & Gas processes (offshore experience will be given preference)
  • Harvest EAD BU's Electrical, Automation and Digitalization Install base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Act as technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers
  • Make technical and sales presentations to customer's technical staff and senior management
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required (70% Travelling is required)
  • Organized and can work independently or in collaboration with a Hub Middle East team

Preferred knowledge and skill

  • IEC61131 PLC Coding Standards.
  • IEC61508 Safety System
  • Ability to develop PCS7 and PLC programs based on reading schematics and interpreting customer specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot control loops and software program
  • Network architecture design
  • Industrial instrumentation selection, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in both Water and Oil & Gas industries
  • Engineers having trainings on RTU's, TMS, ESD, SCADA system will be given preference
