My client, a public sector organization is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Economist Director to join their team.

Job Description

• Lead the formulation of economic policies by conducting comprehensive research, analyzing data, and assessing economic trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Collaborate with senior officials to develop long-term economic strategies aligned with organizational goals and government priorities.
• Assess the effectiveness of existing policies and programs through rigorous evaluation methods, identifying areas for improvement and recommending necessary adjustments.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry experts, and international organizations, to gather input, build consensus, and foster collaboration on economic initiatives.
• Represent the organization in external forums, conferences, and meetings to advocate for policies that promote economic growth and sustainability.

The Successful Applicant

• Advanced degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (6 years) in economic research, policy analysis, and strategic planning, preferably in a governmental or public sector environment.
• Proficiency in econometric modeling, statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python), and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex economic data and communicate findings effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead teams, manage projects, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
