In your role as Local Business Line Controller you will be part of the Ports business line within the Marine and Ports division that is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for all types of container and bulk cargo handling cranes, as well as OCR and electrical systems for container terminals. You will be working as a business partner to the relevant business manager. Leading local Controlling teams to optimize financial performance within an assigned Division/Business Unit/Product Group/factory/site. Supporting effective business decisions by monitoring, analysing, and interpreting financial data in order to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions.

This position can be located either in Riyadh or Damman.

Your responsibilities
  • Tender stage: Supports the tender manager on financial aspects. Contributes to negotiations on commercial issues. Assists in local / global risk review. Responsible for update of FCM and finance related topics in FCM (cash flow, FX, etc)
  • Project execution: Provides input to the Project Execution Plan on financial aspects. Handles project invoices, accounting and compliance. Optimizes Project Cash Flow, Revenues and GM contribution together with Project Director. Oversees currency risk, bonds and guarantees and tax issues. Is responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly / quarterly forecast
  • Monitoring and review: Identifies and manages project risks and opportunities. Has joint responsibility with the Project Manager for all Financial aspects of the project including Estimate at Completion and related Cost to Complete, Forecasted Revenues and Cash Flow, Risks and Opportunities assessment and ensure alignment with other functions including project controls. Supports the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly/ quarterly project reviews. Participates in preparing the project cost report. Ensures accuracy of project financials and keeps the required auditable evidence
  • Commercial terms: Guides project team on commercial aspects in planning (such as T&Cs in supply management, claims, back-to-back conditions). Supports claim management, back-charges and insurance cases and monitors the proper follow up together with the Contract / Project Manager towards customer; consortia partner as well as suppliers
  • Compliance & Internal Control: Supports the Project Manager in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, business specific finance directives and instructions. Performs required project controls in GCRM (as control performer or assisting control performer).
  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Assist in procurement and logistics tasks including purchase requisition review and approval, invoice registration and logistics support. Prepare customer invoices and assist with order tasks
  • Business Planning & Forecast: Develops business plans, sets targets and manage forecasting. Liase with HQ / Country CFO / Global / Local BU / Division Manager on financial strategy and decisions
Your background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
  • Minimum 4 years related experience
  • Commercial experience critical for success
  • Good analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Self-starter; high attention to details and can adapt to fast-paced environment
