Job Description 

 

We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our design and construction team. This role has been created as a result of growth within the overall public realm design and construction practice and is a great opportunity for a BIM Manager wanting to further develop their career within a forward-thinking organization. 

 

As a BIM Manager you will be working closely with our design team on a broad range of projects both minor and major, including project management, software support, monitoring of BIM Coordinators/Modelers. You should be conscientious, able to act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way. You will report to the Technical Manager under the overall leadership of the Senior Project Manager. 

 

The BIM Manager will be required to have experience in the preparation of BIM files, model collaboration, development and implementation of BIM standards and protocols and development of BIM Execution Plans. You should also be able to support the advancement of our capabilities in clash detection, data management and maintaining project templates and standards. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Ensuring project delivery meets BIM standards and the overall project BIM Execution plan. 
  • Seek new innovations to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital change, with an agenda to be the industry leading company in BIM for design and construction in Saudi Arabia. 
  • Identify and seek opportunities to enhance the landscape offering with the development of new digital tools focused on emerging growth sectors (e.g. carbon capture, biodiversity net gain). 
  • Technical management and creation of project BIM data sets, including manage and maintain project content and source additional content for project teams. 
  • Coordination with team leaders from other offices and disciplines. 
  • Be proactive in self-development and development of team members. 
  • Identify project specific training requirements and knowledge gaps. 
  • Liaise with team members to ensure changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
  • Lead and deliver projects, both design and construction, successfully in BIM according to the company's BIM standards and protocols and all other standards required by Clients.

 

Requirements 

  • Experience in delivering projects from inception through to post completion. 
  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3d or other software platforms. 
  • Proven record in upskilling colleagues and providing support / coaching others in new software to improve their delivery performance and BIM compliance. 
  • Have excellent understanding of BIM and its direction within the industry. 
  • Conversant with the mobilization and management of various BIM solutions. 
  • Must be experienced in the federation of BIM models and capable of running clash and interface management, reporting and closing out identified issues. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to write/contribute, implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans 
  • Ability to understand Employer Information Requirements and to implement these into the model templates. 
  • Be able to demonstrate continued compliance with BIM standards and Quality Assurance procedures. 
  • Experience with parametric modelling software (Dynamo, Grasshopper or similar) is desirable but will not hinder suitable applicants. 
  • Conscientious, able to work without supervision and proactively manage time and work commitments. 
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. 
  • Holding a BSc in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture or Urban design is the minimum educational background. 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are required.
