Job Purpose: As the Manager Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for the organization's data and analytics (D&A) assets to drive value for business stakeholders. This includes the creation and management of data and analytics strategy, and the execution of related programs and practices that drive measurable business outcomes. This role involves establishing, leading, and operating the D&A function; developing talent and mature D&A culture; building trust and managing data; and evolving technology capabilities.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Data Analytics that supports our organization's business goals and objectives.
  • Lead data-driven innovation for the enterprise, including investigation, adoption, and exploitation of artificial intelligence.
  • Designs the structure and layout of data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes
  • Select & implement database management systems that meet the organization's needs by defining data schemas, optimizing data storage, and establishing data access controls and security measures
  • Design and implement processes for the ETL process from various sources into the organization's data systems.
  • Create and oversee a centralized data management service for sourcing external data to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement and ensure that the delivery of the project aligns with longer-term strategic roadmaps
  • Defines and manages standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality
  • Develop and manage the budget for data analytics, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.

Education And Experience
  • 8+ years of proven experience in IT, with at least four years in a leadership role-leading project involving data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis. Focus on the esports or gaming industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent. Master's degree is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Strong ability in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C/C++.
  • Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, or Teradata
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology, especially in ML, LLM, NLP & AI.
  • Prioritization of the needs of our business and its customers. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and business value.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with other executives, stakeholders and teams across the organization, and to influence people to achieve common goals.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with agile methodologies and change management.
  • Understanding financial principles and ability to manage budgets and optimize costs.
  • High ethical standards and trustworthiness. Ability to act consistently with transparency and accountability.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia.
