To work in a planned way that ensures the proper working condition of machinery at sites and workshop. Maintains and repairs a variety of equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic machinery, pumping equipment, lifting equipment and other related equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test and prepare incoming and outgoing equipment. Follow correct routines as laid down by Senior Mechanic to ensure cost control and high standard of equipment is maintained.
  • Maintain machine and equipment history file and housekeeping of mechanical work area.
  • Order new or finished spare parts, equipment, and maintain the consumption record, forecasting future requirements.
  • Able to follow, understand & provide input in hydraulic system diagrams to assemble new drill rigs as designed by KELLER.
  • Able to repair 4 to 6 cylinder engines, perform general mechanical works, and read and understand machine manuals and part books.
  • Ensure that work is performed safely and within time limits where breakdowns on site occur.
  • Ensure that all information and events on site are logged accurately and handed over to the Foreman.
  • Assist the Workshop Manager, Site Supervisor, Foreman, and other mechanic technicians in providing suitable solutions to problems/situations faced on site.
  • Adapt and ensure the IMS standards, think safe principles, and sustainable requirements where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance and follow the guidelines of Keller Code of Conduct.

Ensure compliance with Keller corporate HSEQ requirements as well as local branch HSEQ requirements.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

  • Qualification: Technical certificate preferable in Auto Mechanics or high school.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a role within a Geotechnical Organization or similar working environment.
  • Language: Good command of English language both written and spoken; Urdu or Hindi is a good plus.
