This individual will play a critical role in identifying new opportunities for growth, developing data-driven strategies, and executing marketing plans in collaboration with agencies and partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the esports ecosystem in Asia, particularly in China, and possess a proven ability to navigate complex multicultural environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Market Blueprint Development

  1. Design a comprehensive blueprint for identifying and prioritizing growth markets within the esports industry.
  2. Develop and implement KPIs and frameworks to assess market potential and measure success.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, audience behaviors, and competitive landscapes.
  4. Build tailored marketing strategies and plans for identified growth markets, focusing initially on China.
  5. Leverage local insights to ensure plans resonate with target audiences.
  6. Identify key partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to amplify the brand presence in growth markets.

Implementation & Execution

  1. Work closely with local agencies, influencers, and stakeholders to execute the marketing strategy effectively.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing efforts with global brand objectives.
  3. Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for regional campaigns.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing efforts in Asia, fostering strong relationships with local partners.
  5. Provide cultural insights and recommendations to the broader marketing and creative teams.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  1. Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing activities, using data to refine strategies and achieve KPIs.
  2. Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on the progress and impact of initiatives.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in marketing, media or equivalent.

5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within esports, gaming, or entertainment industries.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Deep understanding of the Chinese market, including audience preferences, digital platforms, and cultural nuances.
  2. Native-like Chinese (e.g. Mandarin) speaker with fluency in English (written and verbal).
  3. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies in Asia.
  4. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
  5. Experience working with agencies and partners across different regions.
  6. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  7. Passion for esports and gaming is a strong plus.
