Position Overview:

The Quality Controller is responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards. The role involves overseeing the quality of raw materials, production methods, and final products to maintain high-quality standards, prevent contamination, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with the company's quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
2. Implement and enforce practices that prevent cross-contamination and preserve the nutritional value of food throughout the preparation process.
3. Perform product testing, send periodic samples to food laboratories, and oversee quality control of raw and canned food to maintain high standards in final products.
4. Monitor operations across all sections, identify areas for improvement, and provide necessary training and guidance to staff in collaboration with the Training Coordinator.
5. Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety protocols, offering advice on best practices for food preparation, storage, and transportation.
6. Oversee food handling by aggregators to maintain high-quality deliveries.
7. Develop strategies to preserve food freshness and extend its shelf life.
8. Monitor food storage in warehouses, refrigerators, and chillers while ensuring compliance with municipal regulations.
9. Investigate and respond to customer complaints related to food quality, implementing resolutions and improvements in coordination with other departments.
10. Document and maintain records of quality control activities, including product testing and inspections, and prepare reports to track and resolve quality issues.
11. Develop and implement inspection schedules across the Central Production Unit (CPU) and branches, ensuring that equipment and processes function according to quality standards.
12. Collaborate with regulatory bodies during audits and stay updated on industry standards.
13. Work with the Lean Six Sigma team to optimize operations and minimize inefficiencies.
14. Conduct regular audits on procurement activities to ensure alignment with production specifications and explore cost-effective, high-quality alternatives.
15. Audit technical recipe practices to ensure compliance with company standards.
16. Conduct audits on packaging units and measuring tools to verify adherence to company specifications.
17. Perform regular audits of branches, stores, and warehouses to evaluate practices and provide necessary guidance.
18. Assess hygiene practices and recommend improvements where needed.
19. Investigate product defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
20. Conduct quality control workshops to familiarize staff with quality standards and procedures.
21. Stay updated on SFDA norms and industry regulations, ensuring necessary updates in quality control processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in quality control or food safety management.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Attention to detail and thoroughness.
5. Excellent communication skills.
