AtkinsRéalis is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter for the position of Senior Wet Utilities Engineer for our Middle East. This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting project delivery. Would be involved in the creation of designs of various projects related to wet utilities and would be involved on a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients/Lead Project Offices (LPOs). The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings related to wet utilities.
  • Performs pump system engineering calculations.
  • Performs hydraulic modelling analysis for pressure and gravity networks.
  • Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits.
  • Develop the Design report/specifications for a variety of projects.
  • To perform work with minimum supervision.
  • To participate in Multi Discipline coordination and coordination with LPOs and Clients.
  • To work in various CDE- ProjectWise, BIM 360, MS Teams, SharePoint sites etc.
  • To perform Utility Clash analysis and Clash resolution exercise.
  • To perform quality control checks of design calculations or drawings.
  • Should be able to present design solutions in meetings with clients/LPOs as required.
  • Apply AtkinsRéalis Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a reputed institute.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry.
  • Proven experience of involvements in Wet utilities design- Storm water, Wastewater, Potable water and TSE for UK, Middle East and other regions.
  • Should be able to use various software like Microdrainage, CivilStorm, Sewergems/Watergems etc.
  • Working knowledge of BIM platforms like Civil3D, Microstation and/or Open Roads/Inroads/MX Road, Revit, Navisworks etc.
  • Experience in International Standards and Middle East Standards.
  • Experience of leading and delivering major Infrastructure projects at Master plan, Concept and Detailed Design stages.
  • Engineering consultancy experience is preferred.
