Job Overview

Improve the EHS of employees by facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring the actual implementation of the EHS Management System on the shop floor and provide the guidance where needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide EHS advice/guidance/coaching to the plant team using different approaches (direct and support them to implement and comply with all EHS requirements in a sustainable manner).
  2. Assist the EHS Manager in the implementation, development, and monitoring of the EHS policies and procedures.
  3. Complete regular checks and inspections and prepare related reports.
  4. Conduct behavioral safety observations and provide support to develop site BS program.
  5. Conduct periodical checks on the plant clinic and prepare evaluation and feedback reports.
  6. Coordinate the implementation or conduct EHS trainings as identified by EHS manager.
  7. Develop effective communication media for communication at all levels of the business through weekly bulletins and notice boards.
  8. Check readiness of fire alarm firefighting systems and take immediate necessary actions in case of any partial or complete malfunctions.
  9. Distribute, check and arrange for the periodical fire extinguishers inspection and maintenance.
  10. Monitor compliance on the shop floor of the PPEs, KSBs, and SWPs and ensure addressing the immediate required actions to correct situation and escalate when/if needed.
  11. Update safety logs/registers and file and control all safety records.
  12. Check and update all EHS communication means (monitors, NM boards, signs, boards, etc.) and report/fix any incorrect situation (damage, outdate, missing form, etc.).
  13. Participate in the risk assessments, accident investigations, communication, planning, Reward and Recognition (R&R), Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP), monitoring, inspections and audits as assigned by the EHS MS or the EHS Manager.
  14. Follow up with all plant departments to ensure EHS reports are done in due time.
  15. Follow up with all plant departments on the completion of Corrective/Preventive Actions (C/PA) completion and provide support where necessary.
  16. Recognize and embrace positive behaviors and practices.
  17. Carry out monthly audits on Accident Investigation, P.G.I to ensure FLM receive feedback to ensure standards maintained by FLM team to drive continuous improvement.
  18. Perform any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that is in line and supports the job main purpose.
  19. Take immediate corrective actions, including stopping/ceasing any activity or closing any area in case of violations (non-conformance or non-compliance) or detecting any concerns that may affect O&S of the people.
Qualifications

BA/BS required, in the area of Occupational Safety Health, Supply Chain or related quantitative discipline.
