Role Purpose and Summary

Implement, manage and oversee risk management and compliance efforts with guidance from VP, Risk and Compliance across Vision Invest, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and safeguarding against potential risks and vulnerabilities.

Experience

10-12 years of relevant professional experience in governance, management and compliance roles with a minimum of 5 years in managerial capacity; Working experience at an infrastructure fund or a private equity firm is preferred.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or related field.

Relevant international risk management certifications and compliance certifications preferable, e.g., CERA (Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst), CRM (Certified Risk Manager), GRCP (Governance, Risk, Compliance Professional).

Key Responsibilities: Role Specific Technical Responsibilities

Risk Management

  1. Work closely with the VP, Risk and Compliance to contribute to Vision Invest's risk strategy by outlining specific objectives, performance metrics, and milestones aligned with the company's broader strategic goals.
  2. Lead the design and implementation of advanced data collection and analysis strategies. Develop and refine tools, methods, and formats to enhance data accuracy and decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  3. Oversee the development and execution of enterprise-wide risk management frameworks. Collaborate with executive teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all business units. Implement innovative risk management models and protocols.
  4. Drive strategic initiatives to identify and address complex risk-related challenges. Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing process improvements that enhance organizational resilience and agility.
  5. Support the establishment and monitoring of annual objectives and budgets for the risk team, ensuring alignment with Vision Invest's corporate priorities.
  6. Conduct regular risk scenario modelling and scenario planning to inform risk mitigation efforts and support business strategies.
  7. Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with projects, escalating them to the VP, Risk and Compliance and collaborating on mitigating solutions where necessary.
  8. Maintain and update Vision Invest's risk management and control policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
  9. Collaborate with function leads to assess risk appetite and develop risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with guidance from the VP, Risk and Compliance.
  10. Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive business continuity plans. Conduct regular business impact analyses and simulations to ensure organizational preparedness.
  11. Develop and validate sophisticated risk models to provide more accurate risk forecasts. Lead a team of analysts to continuously enhance the organization's risk quantification capabilities.

Compliance Management

  1. Support the VP, Risk and Compliance in evaluating Vision Invest's compliance environment and refining the enterprise-wide compliance framework.
  2. Oversee the development and execution of compliance frameworks that align with evolving regulatory requirements. Ensure that the organization meets all legal, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. Prepare and present compliance reports to the Audit and Risk Committee.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor compliance policies and procedures.
  4. Guide individual teams in creating detailed procedures and processes aligned with established compliance policies.
  5. Partner with the Digitization team to optimize processes while maintaining compliance with data security and privacy standards.

Advisory

  1. Provide expert guidance on risk management practices and compliance matters.
  2. Provide actionable insights and analysis to support risk-informed decision-making at the organizational level, under the VP, Risk and Compliance's supervision.
  3. Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility. Lead initiatives to integrate and optimize data management systems for better risk assessment and reporting.
  4. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations for the board and executive committees. Utilize advanced data visualization tools and techniques to communicate risk insights effectively.
  5. Develop and execute internal communication strategies to disseminate critical risk information across the organization. Foster a culture of transparency and accountability in risk management.
  6. Champion the development and maintenance of a strong risk culture. Lead organization-wide initiatives to embed risk awareness and proactive risk management into the company's DNA.
  7. Assist in driving digitization initiatives related to risk management, leveraging technology for improved data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  8. Work with the Digitization team to refine processes and systems that enhance risk management.
  9. Spearhead the selection, implementation, and optimization of risk management software systems. Serve as the organization's top expert and advocate for leveraging technology to enhance risk management processes.
