The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Openshift Specialist Solution Architect to join us in Riyadh, KSA. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise with containerization, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure technologies to help Red Hat Customers derive business value from their OpenShift environment.

You will have a passion for open source and a deep understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level, to identify and create innovative solutions. You'll also need excellent communication and people skills as you'll be a crucial part of the first in-depth experience our customers have with Red Hat.

In this role, you will work directly with our customers to understand their technical and business goals in order to design the appropriate solutions utilizing Red Hat technologies. You'll run live demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept around our Red Hat offerings to educate customers on their capabilities and help them to design new and innovative solutions to address their challenges.

What you will bring
  1. Present Red Hat OpenShift technology and solutions to customers and partners, addressing complex requirements, designing value-driven architectures, and explaining the value of these solutions to guide Red Hat OpenShift sales.
  2. Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and serve as an advocate for customer priorities with Business teams.
  3. Drive adoption and consumption of OpenShift commensurate with customer metrics.
  4. Gain and develop an understanding of the customer's current state architecture, key metrics, workloads, development environment, lines of business concerns and coordinate with partners and Red Hat Consulting.
  5. Maintain a catalog of potential OCP workloads by leveraging the cumulative experience and knowledge from working with other customers.
  6. Identify, execute and lead customer events to drive visibility and demand for migrating and building applications to OpenShift and its ecosystem.
  7. Execute and lead customer events for onboarding and enablement to OpenShift as an application platform to drive customer success.
  8. Become a trusted advisor to customer teams by closely enabling and mentoring customer development teams in the development and deployment of applications to production on OpenShift and 3rd party tools for meaningful outcomes to delight customers.
What you will do
  1. Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent in supporting large organizations.
  2. Experience architecting, designing or implementing solutions related to virtualization, storage, networking in a variety of Enterprise and Government organizations.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation, documentation and problem solving skills.
  4. Positive team player attitude and strong desire to make our customers successful.
  5. Ability to understand customers' challenges, requirements and technical issues and collaborate to address those with the appropriate technologies and solutions.
  6. Knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or a RHEL derivative, as well as related technologies.
  7. Knowledge of virtualization technologies for application deployment and operations like VMware vSphere, KVM, etc.
  8. Experience with Kubernetes deployments in large organizations.
  9. Knowledge of cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies like Red Hat OpenShift or related products and solutions.
  10. Knowledge of network protocols like TCP / IP, S3, FTP, NFS, or SMB / CIFS.
  11. Knowledge of DevOps from the technology point of view.
  12. Familiarity with the design and operation of medium to large-scale enterprise and cloud infrastructures, databases and application systems with high-availability requirements.
  13. Extensive experience with the application life cycle in traditional environments.
  14. Fluent language skills in English and Arabic.
  15. Willingness to travel within the region.
One or more of the following is a plus
  1. Experience or certification with any public cloud provider.
  2. Red Hat certifications.

Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenShift Virtualization, OpenStack, RedHat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer: Provisioning of the virtualization, guest operating system and container layers; Patching; Backup, restore and disaster recovery; Access management; Automation and scripting; Networking.
