This Engineering Project Management role requires versatile and technical individuals to deliver impactful results within:

  1. Multiple Business segments: The role will support both Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FC) and delivery stations (DS).
  2. Different Project types: The role will support both new launches (Greenfield), as well as retrofit of our existing buildings (Brownfield).
  3. Wide project scope: The scope for this role is focusing on automation technologies (conveyance, sortation), Good-lifts (VRC) and Storage solutions.
  4. E2E Project lifecycle: This role will support End-to-End project lifecycle for the above mentioned systems. From Solutions to Go-Live, including concept design, budget request, vendor selection, detailed engineering, planning, execution, qualification.
During pre-execution phase, the PM is expected to contribute to design and technology development; understand individual pieces of equipment, their application, benchmark performance and propose innovation. The PM will be focused on meeting the needs of our internal customers to deliver systems which are safe, easily maintainable, ergonomic and reduce manual labor.

During execution the PM will act as the main interface point for internal and external stakeholders. This person will be responsible for budget, quality, safety and schedule of the projects. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Focus on cost-saving while ensuring quality and performance.

For this project manager role, we are looking for talented individuals eager to learn and develop their Project Management career. The role will be based in Dubai with expected travels to Abu Dhabi, and punctually within the AMET region.

Key job responsibilities
  1. End-to-end ownership for small and medium scale engineering projects (planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support).
  2. Partner with a Senior Project Manager for larger scale engineering projects.
  3. Dive deep on technical details and provide value engineering and innovative solutions to drive frugality and continuous improvements.
  4. Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and internal standards.
  5. Create, submit and track relevant CAPEX requests to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value.
  6. Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams.
  7. Own the budget for the scope of the project. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Gain savings while ensuring quality and performance.
  8. Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to Procurement, Change Management.
  9. Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, Procurement and Change Management.
  10. Responsible for contractor management & teams in construction site.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of Professional experience
Bachelor's degree
Desire to grow career towards Project Management
UAE National with family book only

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
Experience in Logistics, operations, innovation, or maintenance
Ability to speak multiple languages, including English, German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu
