We are looking for a Middle Backend Developer for VAIMO in Saudi Arabia. You will design, develop, and implement advanced eCommerce solutions for our clients. You will be involved in the development of both client-specific and generic modules for Magento and system integrations between Magento and various ERPs, PIM solutions, PSP, etc. You will also participate in the development of our tools and frameworks designed to maintain a large number of customer installations.

The product you will be working with is the most exciting in the field for those looking to work with professional eCommerce solutions. Magento, in its basic offering, contains a wide range of functionality, providing us the opportunity to work with the development of new exciting and cutting-edge functionality.

As a developer, you are persistent and dedicated to delivering the best solutions possible. You like to plan and analyze, and your decisions are characterized by robustness, generality, and reusability. You are a team player, able to effectively collaborate with other team members, clients, and partners. You don't mind traveling from time to time to meet with other team members or clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, test, and document advanced eCommerce solutions for our clients.
  • Develop customer-specific and generic Magento modules.
  • Develop integrations between Magento and different third-party systems.
  • Improve our CI/CD platform which supports a large number of our clients.
  • Regularly attend internal training courses to maintain required skillset.
  • Develop solid solutions that are generic and reusable.

Skills & Requirements:
  • Experienced in the full software development cycle, from planning to deployment.
  • Hands-on Magento 2 experience (2-4 years experience).
  • Experienced in the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP8).
  • Experienced in OOP, with knowledge of design patterns.
  • Experience in the web server stack is highly beneficial: Apache, HAProxy, Varnish, Redis, Ubuntu Server.
  • Flexibility to adjust to new processes.
  • Capable of estimating/forecasting time to complete specified project tasks.
  • Experience working with SSR and modern frontend frameworks like React, Next.js.

Additional advantage if you have:

  • Experience in Jenkins, Bash, and Python Scripts.
  • eCommerce domain knowledge.
  • Experience contributing to Magento 2.
