Havelock One Interiors is looking for a 'Procurement Engineer' to join our team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Since 1998, Havelock One Interiors has established itself as a leading turnkey fit-out service provider in the Middle East. We specialize in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks, and sophisticated shop fittings.

Even though our KSA office is located in Riyadh, we work on different projects all across the country. Consequently, the ideal candidate for the Procurement Engineer position (as well as other vacancies in KSA) shall be flexible and adaptable. Role Summary

The Procurement Engineer will take a role within the procurement function, in accordance with company policies, processes, and standards.

Role Description

  1. Initiate and administer the Procurement process throughout all procurement stages from obtaining offers from bidders to delivery of material on site.
  2. Preparation of Main Material List out of project B.O.Q & Drawings.
  3. Detailed review of received project documentation.
  4. Preparation of RFQs and forwarding them to relevant suppliers/agents to obtain quotations.
  5. Timely follow-up with the vendors to obtain the quotation/material submissions.
  6. Evaluate bids and prepare recommendations, engaging the Engineering team for technical review as applicable.
  7. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  8. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the Company.
  9. Contribute to the value engineering process where required.
  10. Follow up with the commercial/procurement team to ensure the orders are released as planned.
  11. Preparation of Material Progress report/other reports to monitor the status of the materials.
  12. Develop & contribute to Vendor list for Project procurement.
  13. Ensure timely delivery of Materials & systems to support site installation works as per Approved work program.
  14. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
  15. Attend weekly meetings with clients as required by Management.
  16. Coordinate with Logistics & Stores to ensure the material is delivered and stored in accordance with project QA/QC procedures.
  17. Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  2. More than 08 years of experience within the construction procurement industry, preferably with at least 5 years in the KSA market.
  3. Ideally experienced in a procurement function within fit-out construction or joinery manufacturing industries.
  4. Understanding of the tender and vendor management processes.
  5. Excellent negotiation skills and experience in negotiating best price, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  6. Likeable, positive, and assertive personality.
  7. Strong Excel and Word skills and ideally experienced in using bespoke procurement software (e.g., ERP and MRP software).
