Director - Smart Solutions Business Analysis

The Director of Smart Solutions Business Analysis is responsible for leading and managing the business analysis function within the organization, ensuring that smart solutions (including technology-driven products and services) align with business objectives and meet customer needs. This role involves identifying opportunities for business growth and operational efficiency through the application of innovative smart solutions and data analytics. The Director will oversee a team of business analysts and collaborate with senior leadership to drive the development, optimization, and delivery of high-impact smart solutions, contributing to the company's strategic goals and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead the business analysis function for smart solutions across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and manage business analysis strategies to support new and existing smart solutions and technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business strategies with IT and smart solutions initiatives.
  • Establish goals, priorities, and work plans for the business analysis team and ensure their alignment with overall business objectives.

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of business needs, processes, and systems to define functional and technical requirements for smart solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing business requirements for new solutions.
  • Ensure that requirements are documented accurately and that smart solutions deliver the desired business outcomes.

Innovation and Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and smart solutions to improve business processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experiences.
  • Drive innovation in business processes and create actionable insights from data analysis.
  • Collaborate with product, IT, and operations teams to continuously improve the development and delivery of smart solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and key stakeholders to identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement through smart solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external vendors to ensure alignment on solution requirements and implementation strategies.

Project Management & Delivery:

  • Oversee business analysis aspects of multiple projects, ensuring that the scope, schedule, and budget align with business goals.
  • Work with project managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and meet the expected quality standards.
  • Support the change management process and help ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.

Reporting & Metrics:

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of business solutions.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on the status of business analysis activities and project progress to senior management.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of business analysts.
  • Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven work environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering complex business solutions, particularly in smart technology, digital transformation, or similar industries.
  • Strong background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and engaging with senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of smart solutions, IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and data analytics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
