Job Summary
  • Quoting & Estimating different types of MV switchgear and control gear according to IEC and ASNSI standard.
  • Coordination with Design, Production and Quality Team for timely completion of the project.
  • Preparing coordination studies, selectivity and discrimination studies.
  • Preparing submittal for final quotation.
Key Accountabilities
  • Searching for alternative components that meet the specification with good quality and low cost.
  • Reviewing final product to maintain the costing sheet.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant international standards and scientific and technical developments.
  • Initiating design changes for cost effectiveness and product consistency.
  • Generating ideas for new products and researching feasibility, recording and analyzing data.
  • Evaluating the feasibility of design concepts to meet functional/customer needs.
  • Developing timelines and cost estimates for product development tasks and appraising the Technical Sales Manager of performance against plan.
  • Evaluating, documenting, and implementing potential design and process changes to improve product performance, manufacturability, safety and cost.
  • Reviewing technical submittals such as customer drawings, specifications, and budgetary costs.
  • Reviewing revised and new BOQs for correctness before releasing for procurement and production planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
  • Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Degree or equivalent or Business Degree. MBO. Relevant company training.
  • Knowledge: Customer requirements, territories, projects, and competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel for preparing and making professional presentations to customers.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent product knowledge and ability to understand the features and operation of technical products and effectively communicate these to others.
  • Ability to work on CAT software, FPC, VE.
  • Language Skills: Advanced level proficiency in both English and Arabic.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years with Zahid as a Salesman with a proven record of overachievement.
