Fixed Income Operations Assistant Manager

Core Responsibilities:- Ensure the smooth running of the Operations teams making sure an appropriate structure exists below the management level and that succession planning is in place.
- Assist to maintain high standards of control and minimal operational loss incidents.
- Execute formalized strategy on how GM Ops can bring greater value to the operations function.
- Assist to deliver on anticipated efficiencies from projects.
- Ensure consistent procedures are being followed and build capability to absorb business growth.
- Continue to improve processes and realise efficiency savings. Conduct root cause analysis on repetitive process exceptions and implement fixes.
- Compile appropriate metrics to monitor controls, productivity and service levels.
- Recruit/train staff as required.
- Establish materials, training program etc to ensure specialist product and process knowledge can be retained and handed on appropriately to new staff.
- Work with IT to implement both strategic and tactical change program.
- Adhere to KRI and KPI targets as set by Global Operations Management.
- Develop and enhance Client Service Operating Model.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Around 2 years of experience with preferred 1 year in a relevant role.
