We are seeking an experienced Exhibitions and Conferences Director to lead our team and drive business growth.
Job Overview
The Exhibitions and Conferences Director will oversee the planning, management, and execution of all exhibitions and conferences, ensuring the events meet financial objectives and deliver outstanding attendee experiences. This role will lead a team of exhibition managers and business development professionals, taking responsibility for the overall profitability and expansion of the company's exhibitions business. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in exhibition and conference planning, a strong business acumen, and a proven track record in the Saudi market.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning & Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for exhibitions and conferences that aligns with the company's growth objectives. Identify new opportunities, trends, and industry gaps to expand the portfolio.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the exhibitions managers and business development team, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• P&L Responsibility: Oversee and achieve the Profit and Loss (P&L) targets for all exhibitions and conferences, maximizing revenue and managing expenses effectively to enhance profitability.
• Business Growth: Drive growth initiatives by identifying potential partnerships, expanding market reach, and attracting new exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees. Develop pricing and marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and drive sales.
• Event Planning & Execution: Oversee all stages of exhibition and conference planning, from concept to delivery. Ensure seamless event execution by working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and creative.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, exhibitors, sponsors, and industry partners to foster loyalty and ensure successful event outcomes.
• Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with Saudi Arabia's exhibition and conference trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Requirements
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in exhibitions and conference management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the Saudi Arabian market.
• P&L Experience: Proven track record of managing budgets and achieving financial targets, with experience in driving business growth.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing, developing, and motivating teams to achieve high performance.
• Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Saudi exhibitions and conferences landscape, with insight into industry trends and client needs.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop and implement strategies that align with business objectives and enhance market position.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with Fluency in English, is required.
