Job Purpose Statement:

Manage revenue and related expense reporting for two Business Units, thereby ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of results, comparative analysis and commentary to BU Finance support team. Understand business / economic / environmental drivers of Actual results versus Budget / Operating Plan and Forecast.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage & support all BU revenue- and expense-reporting, ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of figures, analysis and comments. Ensure all local & regional reporting for BU is completed accurately and on-time as directed by HQ.
  • Support BU in pursuit of financial targets through in-depth analysis and sharing of financial knowledge. Co-ordinate and support any allocations/ cost share between BU's within market or above market. Actively ensure compliance with laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts.
  • Support the enhancement and compliance of Business Finance processes, standards, and systems.
  • Act as the Business Finance contact for BU-managers.
  • Communicate, discuss and challenge financial impacts with BU-managers. Prepare and present at BU related meetings where financial input/ commentary is required/ requested.
  • Attend, as requested, Regional BU related finance meetings. Own, manage, and complete financial information requests from HQ & other regions.
  • Ad hoc tasks occurring on Business Finance-function as assigned/requested from HQ.
  • Ensure financial planning processes for revenue and direct expenses - strategically capture, carefully estimate and skillfully communicate business-impacting events. Anticipate changes, seek better practices and contribute to the company as a whole to be successful in its aims.
  • Aim to exceed BU support requirements and expectations. Have strong customer focus, creating value for the supported BU.
  • Driven by the desire to identify, prioritize and maintain standards in order to meet internal and external demands. Focus on safeguarding and enhancing the quality of what we do in terms of accuracy, timeliness and consistency with policies, guidelines and best practices.
  • Understand and comprehend Zakat, Tax, WHT, TP and VAT regulation and guidelines.
  • Prepare a summary of any updates on regulation and guidelines.
  • Prepare and review all ZATCA filings in light of the guidelines and regulations in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review all responses to ZATCA queries for audits, assessments including inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate with zakat/tax advisors to prepare full analysis of ZATCA assessment and completion of appeals documentation in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review Zakat, and Tax provisions and disclosures in Financial Statements.
  • Ensure proper zakat and tax provisions are maintained throughout the year.
  • Establish communication with the company's relationship manager at ZATCA and align with him/her in respect to all zakat and tax related matters.
  • Maintain full historical records of filings, proof of payments, reconciliations related to zakat and tax matters, and correspondences with ZATCA, GSTC, and ADRC.
  • Prepare and review monthly value added tax returns considering the regulations, ZATCA interpretations, and best business practices.
  • Ensure timely filing of monthly VAT returns and settlement of liability.
  • Prepare requested breakdowns and reconciliations by ZATCA related to VAT matters and provide them with all required information.
  • Prepare and collate monthly withholding tax information.
  • Review agreements with vendors and partners to advise on applicable withholding tax rates.
  • Ensure timely filing of monthly returns and settlement of liability.
  • Prepare requested breakdowns and reconciliations by ZATCA related to withholding tax matters.
  • Calculate, check, and file excise returns for each period in ZATCA.
  • Calculate the annual guarantee amount and apply in ZATCA for renewal of license.
  • Prepare and submit excise audits requirements raised by ZATCA occasionally.
  • Keep all records and documents related to excise in a manner that is easily available when needed.
  • Monitor all excise-related transactions in ERP.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties related to the job and/or the operation of the company, in accordance with the regulations of the Saudi Labor Law. Adhere to Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Handle data and information according to their level of classification.
  • Avoid violating the rights of any person or company protected by copyrights, patents, or any other intellectual property, or similar laws or regulations.
  • Comply with Cybersecurity requirements related to the protection of user devices, Internet, software, systems, and Email requirements.
  • Adhere to the acceptable use policy and use CATRION information and technical assets only for business purposes.
  • Obtain the required permit from the security department or the authority owner in CATRION before hosting visitors in the company's specific sensitive sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance.
  • Minimum five years of experience gained in a business control or finance department is a must.
  • Strong systems experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Arabic would be advantageous.
  • Experience in reporting/ financial systems (such as Hyperion & Oracle) is welcome.
  • Willingness to act pro-actively by identifying opportunities and anticipating changes.
  • Ability to live and act in a climate of change.
  • Handle stress and demands in a calm, thoughtful manner with the ability to prioritize, monitor and control operations.
  • Ability to formulate and understand business issues, situations, or problems by breaking them down into smaller parts and analyze them.
  • Interpret data and draw conclusions to provide focused guidance.
