Solution Architect - Design Office

Job Description

The main purpose of the solution architect position is designing software solutions and technical leadership of software delivery teams and accountability for the technical acceptance of the delivered solution by the customer.
Participates in vendors assessment and selection. Participates with presales team in the proposed solution design in the bidding phase. Prepares the "team" Scope of Work (SoW) proposal write-up for bidding in software projects. Prepares "team" professional services sizing, assumptions, and pre-requisites for bidding in software projects. Participates in customer demonstrations and presentations to discuss and convince the customer by our software solutions. Attend requirement gathering workshops and prepares business requirements documents. Prepares strategy documents of the project (i.e., configuration management strategy, migration strategy document, go-live strategy … etc.) Participates and review testing strategy document. Prepares high level design documents including end-to-end solution architecture and integration scenarios with the help of the technical architects. Review / audit development team and subcontractor technical documentation and make sure of alignment with project scope and architecture guidelines. Audit the quality of the output artifacts (source code, scripts, configuration file… etc.) by reviewing randomly selected parts. Resolving the technical conflicts between different team members during construction phase by clarifying the scope and architecture and making decisions. Accountable of technical acceptance of the solution by the customer. Participates in the training activities for the customer. Participates in initiatives R & D. Coaches project construction teams in learning and practicing new technologies.

Technical Skills

  1. Preferred to have End to End Architecture experience in IOT, smart city and Governmental.
  2. Experience implementing enterprise integration architectures.
  3. Experience designing integration solutions.
  4. Ability to define and communicate the "big picture" in terms of the overall integration solution (both functional and technical components) and break it down into smaller manageable work units Understanding of the concepts of re-use and when to apply Data modeling skills.
  5. 3 or more years of experience writing code (such as, and not limited to, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net; databases like SQL Server/ Oracle; and Testing tools Experience of multiple full release cycles.
  6. 3 or more years in developing solution architecture.
  7. Advanced understanding of modern software development tools and methodologies.
  8. Advanced in developing and managing large solutions.
  9. Expert in Database Concepts.
  10. Advanced Customer Management.
  11. Expert Business Analysis.
  12. Expert multi-tier - distribution technologies.
  13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
  14. Good Demonstrated technical leadership.
  15. High-level and low-level Design expertise.
  16. Expert in Software Sizing and planning.
  17. Expert in multiple business domains and industries.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
