The BIM Senior Manager – Design Engineering is responsible for overseeing the BIM software implementation and management across various projects, ensuring standardization of processes, coordination and maintaining quality control.

The BIM Senior Manager – Design Engineering will ensure the development of effective strategies for BIM management, coordination with both internal and external project team members, alignment with project schedule (including critical and strategic milestones).

The BIM Senior Manager – Design Engineering will facilitate digital project execution according to specific NEOM standards, guidelines, and practices. They will also be involved with training staff, suggesting technical solutions, and ensuring all teams are aligned with the project's goals and compliance regulations.

In addition, the BIM Senior Manager – Design Engineering will work closely with the relevant NEOM sectors and stakeholders to ensure accurate flow of project/BIM/digital information are communicated, managed, and delivered.

It is incumbent on the BIM Senior Manager – Design Engineering to undertake their duties in a professional and diligent matter, always taking due care to support the required outcomes and objectives. This includes undertaking all work activities, in a timely manner, to effectively support project timelines and formal instructions.

Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesKey Responsibilities

1. Identify, develop, implement and manage the BIM protocols and systems, needed to meet the requirements of the project, including the BIM execution plans for each project
2. Coordinating project model deliveries and reviewing models to ensure accuracy and compliance
3. Leading BIM coordination meetings to discuss project updates and issues
4. Creating training materials and conducting training sessions for BIM software users, as needed
5. Develop and enforce BIM documentation and workflow process standards, including creation and maintenance of template files to assure standards
6. Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to relevant NEOM codes, standards and practices
7. Maintaining the project models and overseeing data management throughout the lifecycle of the project
8. Adhere to all NEOM confidentiality guidelines, protocols, and requirements and ensure the same is met for internal and external members of the specified project team
9. Collaborate with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors, to achieve the projects outcomes, objectives and seamless workflow integration
10. Drive project data management success, foster innovation, and ensure fit-for-purpose technology and digital solutions are identified and delivered
11. Monitoring and report the progress of activities in relation to the project in accordance with management requirements

Key Accountabilities

1. Provide all necessary BIM support, including software, hardware, network and troubleshooting
2. Manage BIM implementation plan across the lifecycle of the project, ensuring outcomes aligned to project objectives
3. Lead and support the use of digital technology within the project team
4. Plan and oversee the execution of data management/BIM software activities in order to meet project specific needs, in alignment with applicable standards
5. Strategic risk management for the area they are responsible for
6. Managing resources effectively including resources allocation, and procurement
7. Reporting on the project state in regards to BIM implementation, data management, project software needs, and workflow integration

Background, Skills & QualificationsExperience

1. Over 15 years of experience in a BIM coordination/management role in the design, engineering and construction industry

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent qualification

Essential Skills

1. Proven track record of leading BIM management for a major contractor, consultant and/or developer delivering significant work
2. BIM software experience, including Revit, Rhino and other industry software and tools
3. Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
5. Strong leadership skills and experience in BIM software management, team interfacing, presentation of key project information/constraints across the various stages of a project's lifecycle
6. Ability to be a team player that motivates and educates other team members and comprehends complex, technical subjects
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals
8. Excellent knowledge of, and conversant with, development of concept strategies, development programs and business cases for large building projects
9. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
10. Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles to ensure successful project execution
11. Extensive knowledge in 3D modelling and cloud collaboration, clash detection tools, parametric modelling tools, presentation skills

1. GCC experience, preference for KSA experience
