**Job Summary and role**:
- A senior registered psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluation, diagnosis and monitoring of client’s symptoms to determine appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
- Counseling clients and their families, writing prescriptions, and monitoring clients progress, while being compassionate and sensitive to their needs and concerns.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
**Diagnosis & Therapy**
1- Conduct standard & comprehensive psychiatric assessment either in person or remotely to obtain proper medical history, assess risk, formulate diagnosis (according to DSM5and ICD10), and appropriate treatment following local and universal guidelines.
2- Establish therapeutic relationship with client and family
3- Creates and implements treatment plans based on clinical evaluation to meet the Client treatment objectives,
4- Discuss the treatment plan with the client once assessment is completed and document the agreed upon plan in the specified medical electronic record.
5- Prescribe medications according to diagnosis. Follow up and monitor response and side effects.
6- Educate client and family about diagnosis and offered treatment options.
7- Conduct family meeting when required
8- Referral to colleagues within the center or outside as deemed necessary
9- Request appropriate investigations or testing when required to assist diagnosis and treatment
10- Assessing the effectiveness of treatment programs and making changes as needed.
11- Liaison with RRC treating team
12- In consultation with the direct Supervisor, provides crisis intervention in cases requiring urgent medical care.
13- Attend peer review rounds for continuity of care
14- Contribute to the development of RRC with research involvement and community outreach
15- Follow code of ethics and professionalism
16- Abide by the RRC policies and procedures
**Administrative & Communication**
1. Manage own schedule, plan appointments for own clients, and maintain a high client retention rate by providing the finest service possible and continually outlining the outcomes obtained so that the client is completely aware of the accomplishments.
2. Calls prospective clients to welcome them, answer their inquiries, and persuade them to sign up as RRC clients.
3. Adopts a "Can do" mentality when managing new and evolving jobs to support the efficient running of RRC's many activities, including but not limited to: Administrative tasks, client care managment tasks, and any other task from time to time as per the business needs.
4. Take part in unusual actions as directed or necessary by RRC Management.
**Training & Education**
1. Stay current by continually updating information, performing research, and producing RRC material.
2. Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, workshops, research, and report writing to advance professional growth. Provide psychology instruction and training to other team members.
3. Provide clinical supervision to less experienced psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members.
4. Create client training programs in partnership with internal teams to improve the attractiveness and delivery of various therapy interventions.
**5.** Contribute to the development of RRC with research involvement and community outreach
**Documentation & Confidentiality**
1. Ensures that documentation of progress and treatment is completed in compliance with applicable policies and procedures pertaining to medical records; develops, executes, and adheres to policies that ensure the confidentiality of patient information. ensuring that accurate program and client records, in addition to any other papers that may be relevant, are kept and stored in a secure location.
2. Ensure that all services are carried out in accordance with the applicable ethical and professional standards of care.
3. Ensure that all necessary clinical documentation is completed in an accurate and timely and manner.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Excellent communications skills with patients and other medical professionals
- Advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
- UpToDate knowledge with biological therapies (medication and psychotherapy) according to international treatment guidelines
