As an Accounting Trainee specializing in General Ledger (GL) and Tax support, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Accounting Department with GL posting while gaining exposure to Tax, VAT, and WHT return processes. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills, particularly in General Ledger management, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

- ** GL Posting**:

- Assist in the accurate and timely posting of financial transactions to the General Ledger.
- Work closely with senior team members to ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
- Reconcile GL accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Tax, VAT, and WHT Support**:

- Provide assistance in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support the VAT reconciliation process and assist in the preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist in the computation and submission of Withholding Tax (WHT) returns.

Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Compile and analyze financial data to generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
- **
Documentation and Compliance**:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations and assist in implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- **
Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the accounting team to achieve departmental goals and deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvements and best practices.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
