General Ledger Manager

**General Ledger Oversight**:Supervise the general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare and oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- **Month-End and Year-End Closing**:Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including review and analysis of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- **Team Management**:Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of productivity and accuracy.
- **Process Improvement**:Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes, workflows, and controls to optimise efficiency and accuracy within the general ledger function.
- **Compliance and Audit Support**:Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards. Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary information and support.
- **Account Reconciliation**:Oversee account reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Address and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
- **Financial Analysis**: Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and other financial assessments to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- **Software and Systems Management**:Manage and maintain accounting software systems and tools. Collaborate with IT teams for system upgrades and enhancements.
- **Internal Controls**: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- **Interdepartmental Collaboration**:Collaborate with other departments such as finance, tax, and operations to provide accounting insights and support various business initiatives.
- **fixed Assets Management**: Overseeing the accounting and management of fixed assets, which includes recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation/amortization accurately and in accordance with accounting principles and company policies Capital Expenditure Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation and review of capital expenditure budgets, providing financial analysis and recommendations for investment in fixed assets, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA / CMA / ACCA / IFRS) qualification is preferred.
- Experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Experience in team management and leadership.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Very good in English.
