**Responsibility**
Responsible for the complete mechanical department activities for the electrical high voltage substation projects, which includes, but not limited to, preparation of relevant budget during bidding/tendering stage, optimizing the design and getting it approved and supporting procurement during the execution stage, as well monitoring and controlling of the site activities during the installation, testing, and commissioning stages.

**Your Profile**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar from a reputable university
- Minimum 10 years’ experience of building services (HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection).
- Working experience in electrical substations.
- Effective communication skills in English; possession of Arabic language will be an advantage.
- Good negotiation and peer reviewing skills.
- Possess AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION and REVIT Design/Drafting skills, though drafting is not fully essential, it will require for design reviews and support works.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Engineering and design of producing and reviewing of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems.
- Optimization of the proposed solution for the HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems during tendering and execution stages.
- Construction support including site visits for inspections, meetings, handing overs and resolving technical issues.
- Function as the contact point internally and externally for all the mechanical systems.
- Procurement support in reviewing technical submittals from the subcontractors, review techno-commercial offers and recommend the best offer to the procurement team.
- Review tender documents and produce BOQs of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems (including fire alarm and fire-fighting systems), supporting tendering team in bidding on new projects and proposals.
- Respond to subcontractor queries across all stages of the project right from the bidding stage to final execution and handing over of the mechanical systems.
- Coordination between civil, electrical, security, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and others.
- Lead a team of site engineers assigned on various sites and technically support them on various design and site related issues.
- Well versed and knowledge about local standards such as SAES, SEC, SBC, RC, HCIS and others.
- Well versed and knowledge about international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, IBC, IPC, IMC, UPC, NFPA, NEBB, CIBSE, AWWA, IFC and others.
- Preparation of engineering BOQs, MTOs, with knowledge of requirements having received mínimal or no inputs from the client and other stakeholders.
- Prepare mechanical design submission plans.
- Coordinating site mechanical site activities with other disciplines and subcontractors.
- Review of subcontractor’s claims, challenge the claims technically and contractually.
