**Role Summary**

3. Ensure compliance to company polices and standards and owner of engineering processes

4. Manages, plans, coordinates, and directs our quality assurance and quality control organization designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.

5. Identify and quantify continuous improvements opportunities proactively together with site operations teams, and use best tools/methods from the CI/LEAN toolbox to develop solutions.

**Job Responsibilities **/ **Description**:

- Manages a multi-function team of supervisors, operators, and admin staff for planning, purchasing/sourcing, manufacturing, production equipment maintenance, and warehouse/inventory control activities.
- Oversee production operations primarily to do with rubber molding, plastics and metal machining activities to ensure a safe production environment, timely delivery, and efficient operation.
- Oversee inspection activity for product purchased or manufactured. Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Coordinates manufacturing, procurement, and warehouse activities to ensure products meet agreed specifications.
- Assess customer requirements and ensuring that these are met through communication, in house training, internal audits and other channels.
- Responsible for audits by customer and liaising with external assessment bodies on matters related to the accreditation process.
- Specifying quality requirements of Customers with suppliers and leading supplier audits.
- Work with process owners to establish, document, and maintain procedures, standards and systems.
- Ensure that processes needed for QMS are established, implemented and maintained accordingly to ISO and/or API requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments in the organization to achieve delivery targets and organizational goals.
- Ensure that a document control procedure is adopted to approve, review and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the QMS.
- Ensure that records are established and maintained to provide evidence that the QMS is being followed and that there is a system in place for the identification, traceability, storage, protection, retrieval, retention time and disposition of such records.
- Prepare operational schedule/s for input into S&OP process and Production Planning.
- Create operational plans, budgets, policies and procedures as required
- Continuously Improve operational efficiency, production yield, and cost control.
- Oversee all matters relating to Engineering including staffing, costing, technical, design, drafting, material, first article testing, manufacturing, and tooling matters.
- Work with Management Team to achieve company objectives
- Timely completion of engineering activities
- Ensures proper training and indoctrination of employees to improve work performance and acquaint staff with company policies and procedures. Training must be documented.
- Ensure that all employees work in a safe manner and maintain 5S.
- Ensure all process procedures are followed and properly documented.
- Supports plant management and vendor/supplier evaluations and reviews as needed.
- As necessary support Sales team on customer visit and questions that are of a technical nature
- Ensure all process procedures are followed and properly documented.
- Labatory processes, procedures, and equipment (e.g. mechanical testing, compression set, Rheometer, CMM, basic measurement gages )

**Core Competencies**
- Must understand current manufacturing methods and best practices for rubber/polymer products **(e.g. PEEK, PPS, PTFE, PFA, HNBR, FEPM, filler selection)**:

- Provide support to the MD and leadership team in overall management of technology and development requirements
- Must possess good problem resolution, communication and leadership skills.
- Negotiating skills and the ability to plan and facilitate successfully to win-win results.

**Education / Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Personality**
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical, Material Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, or an equivalent discipline combined with seven to ten years’ experience in industry.
- Minimum 7 year’s work experience in a manufacturing environment
