The Role
Our client, a premier healthcare facility, is seeking skilled and dedicated Outpatient Procedural Technician (UK/Europe-based) to join their Endoscopy Unit team. In this critical role, you will assist with various outpatient procedures, ensuring a safe, efficient, and patient-centred environment. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic and outpatient procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of patients for outpatient procedures, including obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete. - Prepare and maintain the procedural area, ensuring that equipment is properly sterilized, functioning, and ready for use. - Assist healthcare providers during endoscopic procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and support as needed. - Monitor patients during and after procedures, observing for any signs of complications or adverse reactions, and promptly reporting any concerns to the healthcare team. - Educate patients and their families about the procedures, pre
- and post-procedure care, and any necessary follow-up instructions. - Participate in maintaining a clean and organized procedural environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations. - Assist in the documentation of patient care and procedural outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) system. - Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to outpatient procedures and endoscopy.
