**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of BAE Systems’ commitment to industrialise the supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA.

Reporting into the Programme Director, the Head of Programme Delivery holds primary responsibility for all Project Management, Commercial and Procurement activities and overall accountability for financial performance including P&L on the programme.

Leading and managing all supply chain bid, contract and project activities and interfaces between SMSCMC and the Customer and supplier communities. This will include strategic planning, budgeting, direction, organisation, management and delivery of all elements of the Programme.

Based in Riyadh, the Head of Programme Delivery will lead and deliver their responsibilities throughout Saudi Arabia and beyond including UK and Europe and possess excellent leadership skills/behaviours.

Given the nature of SMSCMC’s business, the Head of Programme Delivery will possess extensive and contemporary, global supply chain experience including customer and vendor contracting and management, LCM experience and strong financial and business acumen.

Key to this position is the requirement to manage and develop the Integrated Project Team (IPT) ensuring it has the skills, capabilities, competencies, experience and passion required.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Lead a multi-functional IPT with direct line management responsibility across Commercial, Project Management and Procurement to deliver the Supply chain activities;
- Deliver shareholder value and financial salient across a large portfolio. Continue to drive growth and margin expansion opportunities;
- Deliver all the Lifecycle Management requirements for the portfolio and demonstrate exemplary control of the project management baseline;
- Deliver safe and sustainable operations at all locations and embed exemplary safety culture;
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and measurement criteria necessary to drive a consistent, disciplined and controlled approach to project delivery;
- Deliver SMSCMC strategy related to the programme
- Exhibit a ‘one team’ approach to maximise the collective output from the enterprise.***

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**
- Proven experience in the delivery of Financial Commitments including Order Intake, Profit and Cash;
- An excellent understanding of the Ministry of Defence, other key stakeholders and methods of operation including budgeting and procurement approaches;
- Experienced in the planning and implementation of large complex projects involving multiple stakeholders;
- Experience of working within a senior management environment and leading a very large, multi-cultural team;
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills required including the ability to motivate and inspire others at varying levels;
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with internal teams, customers, vendors and shareholders.
- A commitment to meeting external and internal customer expectations. Excellent behaviours under pressure and a track record of delivering consistently high quality output on time;
- A commitment to the development and support of others. A recognition and acceptance of the need to develop sustainable, indigenous Saudi national capability in the supply chain. Tolerance and respect for other cultures;
