**The purpose of this role is to manage, enhance and support the Sustainability function’s objectives, via developing, implementing and maintaining the Sustainability framework and strategy, and be the champion in promoting the values of sustainability throughout the whole organization.**:

Description

ESG/Sustainability Strategy and Framework
- Provide support in the update, implementation, improvement and maintenance of the sustainability framework of ACWA Power, via gathering relevant internal and external researches in the industry.
- Support in the development of an Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) strategy and aid the implementation of these strategies all around the ACWA Power group and its assets.
- Manage the Sustainability related external intelligence gathering and reporting. Create reports and case
- studies as needed.

Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) Rating
- Provide support on the ESG/ Sustainability Monitoring system via cooperating with the relevant Business Units and Enabling Functions. Actively participate on the monitoring system procurement and evaluation, and implementation of the system.
- Coordinate the yearly ESG rating exercise with the relevant business units and supporting the external rating agency during the process.
- Manage the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability monitoring system.
- Support ESG rating process, via data collection and monitoring, and continuously gathering external intelligence about the ESG criteria to ensure that the company is up to date with the newest ESG rating trends to ensure the continuous improvement of ACWA Power’s ESG ranking.

GHG Inventory
- Lead the GHG inventory and reporting exercise, coordinating with the Centre of Excellence for data collection and verification.
- Be custodian of the emission data, and communicate it to various stakeholders.

ESG/Sustainability Reporting
- ESG insert for Annual Report: Manage the development of content relating to the ESG section of the Annual Report 2021, and identification of relevant KPIs and disclosures.
- Sustainability Report: Manage the sustainability reporting process, aligning to the GRI standard.

TCFD

Oversee the next steps in aligning to the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, including the climate scenarios exercise.

CSR Framework:
Support the implementation of the CSR framework.

Raising the Value of Sustainability
- Manage the internal “Sustainability Network”.
- Raise awareness of the value of sustainability throughout ACWA Power, including its Assets, via knowledge sharing sessions, webinars, etc.
- Work in projects that are outside of the renewable and zero emission spectrum to propose solutions related to sustainability than these projects can embrace (e.g. efficiency improvement, emission reduction etc.)

Contribute through team leadership: Provide guidance to team members and communicate clear tasks in order to help reaching goals and meeting task deadlines. Provides useful real time coaching to team members.

Internal: BU O&M, Investor Relations, Centre of Excellence, Portfolio Management, Business Development Function, Technical Services, I.T and other relevant internal functions.

External: ESG rating agencies, Government Institutions, UNFCCC and other relevant stakeholders

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably with a Master’s Degree in Environment Studies or Sustainability or any other relevant degree.

Minimum Experience
- Min 7 years of relevant experience
- Environmental or sustainability experience in the energy industry, preferably with MNC’s or with listed organizations.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- A pro-active high achiever with high energy levels, who is used to working under pressure and to tight/challenging deadlines
- Thorough understanding of the business value chain
